c.1804 Koenig German Silver Fiddle Handle Table Spoon – 49 grams
Lovely table spoon dating from the early part of the 19th Century. Bears an extremely faint monogram on the handle’s reverse that appears to read “L.F. Sch d. 20. Septbr. 1804”. There is a maker’s mark present on the back for Koenig and a mark of the number 12, a German mark used to denote that the spoon is .750 silver. The spoon shows some slight dents in the bowl and minor additional wear but is otherwise in good shape. It measures approximately 9 inches long x 1 3/4 inches wide and weighs 49 grams.
